Emergency Care Summaries
If you need urgent medical care when your GP surgery is closed, we want it to be as safe as possible.
Every patient in Scotland has an emergency care summary. This contains basic information about medicines you are taking and medicines you react badly to. This summary can be looked at by staff in out-of-hours centres, Accident and Emergency departments and at NHS 24. However, they will only be able to look at this information if you agree but it should mean that your care will be quicker, easier and safer.
IF YOU DON’T WANT AN EMERGENCY CARE SUMMARY, PLEASE SPEAK TO A MEMBER OF THE PRACTICE TEAM ABOUT THIS.
